The ANDY WILLIAMS Moon River Theater design reflects the beauty and environmental integrity of the surround Ozarks Mountains. The 48,000 square foot structure is set among 16 acres landscaped with foliage, rock formations, waterfalls and a rippling stream. It won the 1992 Convention Award for developed land use from the State of Missouri, and is the only theater ever to be featured in Architectural Digest. ANDY WILLIAMS has an incredible art collection that features works from Picasso and Jackson Pollack. He displays pieces of art from his personal collection in the theater. Everyone who walks into the theater agrees that it exudes elegance with its warm woodwork, sophisticated art pieces, antiques, and exquisite fabrics. "Moon River" is a koi stocked pond running beside the building.
ANDY WILLIAMS began his amazing musical career back in the early 40's. Some of his best known and well loved hits include Moon River (hence name of the theater), Somewhere My Love, Days of Wine and Roses, Born Free, Can't Get Used to Losing You, and Theme from Love Story. In keeping with his tradition of musical excellence ANDY WILLIAMS has assembled his 11 member Branson theater orchestra from all over the world featuring artists from such places as London, Mexico City, Canada, Tokyo and the United States.
In the 1960's ANDY WILLIAMS became a household word performing on the NBC variety ANDY WILLIAMS Show for almost 10 years. During that time he won 3 Emmy Awards for Best Musical/Variety Series and was one of NBC's top ranked programs. He is credited by the Osmond Family for launching their careers when he had them appear on his show. The Osmonds later had their own variety show and had him appear as their guest.
