This MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS page will be a collection of 'must-see' things to do in several popular destinations throughout the state.

St. Louis Missouri Arch and Capital BuildingOur first MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS stop is in ST. LOUIS featuring the Old Courthouse in the heart of downtown near the Arch, which was the site of the historic Dred Scott case. Sports teams in the ST. LOUIS area include the St. Louis Blues hockey team, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Rams.

As we continue our MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS tour in St. Louis, we want to be sure and point out the fact that there are scores of homes with rich histories behind them in the area. These spectacular architectural jewels where renowned people lived, like Scott Joplin, Ulysses S. Grant or Daniel Boone await your visit.

Our next MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS stop is the KANSAS CITY area. While there be sure and visit the Hallmark Visitors Center within the Crown Center. There you will be offered an in-depth look into the company's history and some of its creative processes. This $3.86 billion company was started when a man named Joyce C. Hall began selling picture postcards from his 4th floor room in the the Kansas City YMCA.

Other MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS favorite family stops in the KANSAS CITY include Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun in the spring and summer and the Plaza during the Christmas season.

Another 'must-see' MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS stop is the Katy Trail, which slices across the State for the 225-mile stretch from CLINTON to ST. CHARLES. The Katy Trail offers a unique opportunity for all ages with interests from bicycling, hiking, nature trails, history buffing on to enjoy MISSOURI's beauty and discover the past. The majority of the trail of this MISSOURI ATTRACTIONS stop closely follows the route of the Missouri River. You will find yourself with the river on one side and towering bluffs on the other. The trail travels through many types of landscapes including dense forests, wetland, deep valleys, remnant prairies; open pastureland and gently rolling farm fields.
